Here are a few FAQ’s –

Will there be more stories in the Chocoverse?
I have a couple of novellas planned that should show up in Kindle Unlimited this summer.  At this time, I don’t have plans for additional full-length novels.  But I won’t say that is never a possibility.

How many books will there be in the Bean to Bar Mysteries?
At least 12.  That’s how far out I have tentative outlines, and what will be mentioned in the upcoming Bean to Bar Cookbook.

Will there be audiobooks?
We are working on it.  Jake is trying to figure out the tech, and we made one attempt at recording Grand Openings Can be Murder, but the audio quality wasn’t great.  So let me make that an optimistic. . . Maybe?

When will the Story Like a Journalist on-Demand Course be available?
As soon as I finish recording the videos.

Are you a chocoholic?  Do you buy fancy lattes every day?
No, and no.  I like to think of myself as an accidental chocolate expert.  I chose chocolate as the commodity to explore in the Chocoverse because I had recently visited a cacao plantation, after Jake and I had given a presentation for the local herb society on combining culinary herbs with chocolate.   I then met a ton of experts, chocolate makers and chocolatiers who all had stories to tell.  I do sometimes indulge in chocolate, but it’s not an everyday occurrence.  I do drink coffee most days.  If you follow my Instagram, you will see pics when I visit a new coffee shop, on average 3 times a month.  Those ones you see — that’s pretty much the extent of me buying coffee out.  If you want me to be able to afford having fancy coffee out more often, buy more of my books.

Do you have some writing tips for me?
Oh boy howdy, do I.

You may also want a copy of Story Like a Journalist, which is intended for fiction writers.

Can you read my book?
I take on a select number of editing clients each year.  This leaves little time to read other manuscripts.  If you are not ready for the commitment of hiring a developmental editor, and would like me to read your writing, the easiest way is to take one of my classes through either UT Arlington or Kiamichi Tech.  Homework for all of those classes includes weekly critique of a limited number of pages.

If you are interested in having me endorse your book please contact Jennie Goloboy at the Donald Maass Literary Agency.

Will you visit my book club / writers group / library / community organization?
You can find information on this on my For Readers page.  In short, I do both Zoom and in-person visits.  I charge a speaking fee based on the type of event (I do give a discount for libraries).  For in-person events outside of the DFW area, I require travel reimbursement.  Please contact me through the form on my website or contact Jennie Goloboy at the Donald Maass Literary Agency.

I would like to sponsor one of your Chocolate Field Trip Videos on YouTube, or create another type of partnership with your blog or social media.
Awesome!  Please use my contact form to let me know what you have in mind.  We have a number of field trips planned for the upcoming year, most immediately to Port Aransas, Texas.  We have a tentative Hawaii trip in October that should include a day-flight-hop to Maui.

If you are a coffee roaster, chocolate maker or chocolatier, I would love to consider you for a guest interview on my blog, Chocolate. Coffee. Creativity.  Requesting a spot does not guarantee an interview.  You are also NOT required to send me free chocolate.  Or coffee.  Thanks.  Now I want coffee.

I love getting the perspective of fellow writers on my blog, so I occasionally have guest posts or author interviews for Chocolate. Coffee. Creativity.  Keep in mind that my blog only accepts guest posts related to the writing craft, and I am very selective about the types of books that are attached.  (I write cozy mysteries and fluffy space opera, so my audience expects things to be pretty tame.)  Articles on writing craft may also be added to my Saturday Night Write monthly newsletter, which reaches approximately 300 writers.

I want to keep up with everything you have going on!
